Mangaluru : Police have arrested one person in connection with the murder of a Huli Vesha artiste at Haripadavu in Kavoor police station limits.

Jayananda Acharya (65) who had performed Huli Vesha for Navaratri was found dead on Saturday with a rope around his neck. His brother had lodged a complaint expressing suspicion of murder.

The police who investigated the case, arrested Rajesh Poojary (31) of Kunjathbail. The accused has been produced before the court.
