Sullia: A 16-year-old boy assaulted by ten person for alleged theft of arecanuts Purlumakki near Guttigau Village in Sullia Taluk.

A case has been filed against ten person accused of assaulting the boy.

The accused Jeevan, Varshit, Sachin, Mokshit, Sanath, Murali, Dinesh, Ishwarchandra and Chetan have reportedly gone into hiding after a video of the incident, which took place last week at Purlumakki near Guthigar went viral on social media.

The victim filed a complaint with the child welfare department. Subrahmanya police are investigating the case based on the video evidence.
