Mangaluru : A speeding car ran over two  labourers  who were sleeping on a footpath near Mangaluru Central Railway Station on November 25, Thursday morning.

Nearly 10 labourers , most of them hailing from other states, were sleeping on the footpath when the  mishap took place.

The injured labourers have been shifted to Wenlock Hospital. Four vehicles which were parked in the area were also damaged after the car rammed against them.

Mangaluru South Traffic Police have registered a case.
