Yuvajana-FedrationMangalore : Anna Hazare’s campaign against corruption was not consistent since the people involved in the campaign comprising the members of civic society themselves are corrupt in one or the other way, said former chairman of State Commission for Backward Classes Dr C S Dwarakanath.

He was speaking at the interaction programme jointly organised by Social Justice Forum, Sahamatha Forum and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) held on the topic “Corruption – causes and solution,” on September 10, Saturday.

Speaking about the three main loopholes in Anna’s campaign, he said that any movement is a failure if it involves socio-economic inequality, unconstitutional methods and hero worship, but unluckily these three aspects were main in all the campaigns held against corruption, he said.

He also said that the same civic members do not highlight the number problems such as poverty and harassment faced by Dalits. It is important to fight for humanity, than for corruption. He also urged the Government to bring the corporate bodies, NGOs and religious institutions under the realm of Jan Lokpal Bill.

Social activist Prof Rita Noronha, Dr Niketana spoke on the occasion. The talk was followed by a discussion.
