Mangaluru: MRG Group led by its chairman K Prakash Shetty, will distribute financial aid worth Rs 2.5 crore to about 1,400 needy families, under Asha Prakash Shetty Sahaya Hasta Yojane, at an event on Sunday.

Prakash Shetty, told reporters on Thursday, that the beneficiaries were selected after a thorough scrutiny, to ensure that the aid goes only to the needy.

Organisations involved in social service and service activities have also been selected for assistance.
