Mangaluru : State ASHA Workers’ Association affiliated to the AITUC staged a protest in front of the DC office here on July 6, Saturday demanding a monthly honorarium of Rs 12,000 to the workers and to clear the MCTS incentives pending since ten months.

Prior to the protest, hundreds of ASHA workers took out a jatha from Town Hall upto the Deputy Commissioner’s office.

State Secretary of ASHA Workers’ Association D Nagalakshmi spoke on the ocastion.

District Advisor KV Bhat, District President Shobha, Secretary Harini and others participated in the protest.
