Bantwal: A woman from Ganadapalu in Barimaru village of Bantwal taluk has given birth to triplets, at Lady Goschen Hospital in Mangaluru.

Dikshitha, wife of Padmanabha Poojary, a constructionworker is the woman who is now a mother of triplets. A team of doctors led by Dr Vinitha Shetty ensured a safe delivery through a caesarean section. Of the triplets, two are girls.

As the infants are underweight they have been kept at the ICU unit of the hospital. Though the family is joyous on the birth of triplets, there is also a worry of the financial challenges in raising three children at a time.
