Bantwal : A bike rider lost his life in a collision between two-wheeler and jeep at Narahari near Melkar on January 16, Monday morning.

The deceased is Vijith (35) of Guruvayanakere. The mishap occurred while negotiating a curve. Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik’s Gram Vikas Padayatra publicity vehicle was a jeep of Telangana registration.

The critically injured bike rider though was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru, his life could not be saved.
