Mangalore: A decision was taken at the DK DCO hall in the presence of ADC K.A. Dayananda on November 3, to hold a children’s Film Festival from November 15 to 17 in Mangalore city in its 15 film theatres all over DK Districts and then from November 28 to December 1 in rural area cinema theatres as a part of this Festival.
The chosen films, only meant for kids, will be shown during morning shows at a Concessional rate of Rs5, in 8 city theatres(such as Jyothi and Central) from 10 AM to 12 noon.
The inaugural show will be held in Jyothi Talkies near Balmatta, on 15th November. The films will also go to Suratkal, Puttur, Sullia , Mudubidri, and Ujire, with same timings.
Care off Footpath directed by a child Kishen(8) is one of the 13 films on show in these city and rural theatres in DK districts.
The Festival is backed by Karnataka Educational Department and Childrens’ Film institute together.
