Mangalore : The CITU organized Dakshina Kannada District Working Women’s Conference, as a part International Working Women’s Centenary Day at Town Hall, on July 30, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, B Madhava, CITU State Committee vice president, said that all the women beedi workers must unite and fight against the injustice made to them. When all the women fight in mass, they can achieve justice.
Vasanth Achary, CITU leader said that all the women beedi workers must fight to get minimum wages and wage increment and bonus, which they must receive. Most of the women are harassed in similar way in the work places, when they are alone, but when they form the union will have courage to come forward and fight against this harassment.
Bharathi Bolar, CITU district leader said that Women’s are facing trouble in the name of globalization and modernization. Now a day’s woman is being employed in big malls, where they not provided any kind of security and are being tortured. Hence women must fight against it in mass so that it gets more power to oneself.
S K Geetha, CITU Samanvaya Samithi State Unit President participated as the chief guest on the occasion. Ramani of CITU presided over the function.
