Bangalore: The State government has finally risen to the occasion with regard to the Nityananda imbroglio with CM DV Sadananda Gowda instructing senior police officials to arrest Nityananda undertake a probe into the allegations of violations of rules and unlawful activities in the Nityananda Ashram.
The CM’s orders came at a high level meeting in the presence of home minister R Ashok, Law minister Suresh Kumar and other police officials after the investigation report regarding the recent untoward incidents in the Ashram was handed over to the CM by Ramnagar SP Anupam Agarwal and DC Sriram Reddy.
The CM has also directed that Nityananda’s Ashram be sealed and the search for him should continue. He has also asked the officials to attach all properties in the Ahsram.
The government action comes in the wake of severe protest against the so called God man whose followers had manhandled a scribe during a recent press meet at his Bidadi Ashram. Nityananda is at large ever since the incident took place.
