Nalin-KUmarMangaluru : The of the Congress has reached its peak due to Siddaramotsava, said BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel.

In a video message, Kateel said that the fight for the next chief minister’s post has grown bigger in Congress after the 75th birthday celebrations of former chief minister Siddaramaiah.

“To cover up their internal conflicts and street fights, the Congress has tweeted that a third chief minister will emerge from the BJP in Karnataka. There will be no change in the BJP government,” Kateel asserted.

He added that chief minister Basavaraj Bommai will continue in power till the end of the government’s tenure.

“We will face the next Assembly election under the leadership of Basavaraj Bommai with the guidance of former chief minister B S Yediyurappa,” he said.

Congress was trying to create confusion among people as part of its damage control measure in the wake of the Enforcement Directorate’s questioning of party leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and the bail granted to KPCC president D K Shivakumar, he said.

Scams related to the party, confusion regarding party’s chief minister candidate and the discussion on a Dalit chief minister have forced the Congress to take to tweet route to protect the party. This tactic of the Congress to create confusion among people through tweets will not yield results, Kateel said.

“There is no confusion in the BJP. Let the Congress fight elections unitedly after solving their internal differences. Next Assembly election results will show Congress its fate,” he added.
