Mangaluru : BM Laxmi Prasad, Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police has been transferred as the SP of Shivamogga district on Thursday.

Sonawane Rishikesh Bhagawan who was serving as superintendent of police of Yadgir district will be the new SP of Dakshina Kannada district.

The transfer was made by the government in a communication dated April 1. Prasad has been transferred with immediate effect and will be posted as the SP of Shivamogga until further orders.
