Mangalore: District in charge minister Krishna J Palemar laid the foundation stone for the newly established Fire Service office at Pandeshwar on April 1, Friday.
Speaking after delivering the introductory speech on the occasion, Director General of Police (fire and emergency services), DV Guruprasad said that steps are being taken to ensure that fire stations are established in all taluks of the state.
The fire service department in necessary to evacuate the fire incident taking place inside the buildings. The department has also has the achieving of rescuing various animals and birds.
He urged the builders to provide the way for the fire service vehicles to enter in the base of the high raised buildings. The officials of the department wish the city to have less usage if the fire service. The Government must provide good widened roads for the fire service vehicles to move easily. He urged the builders to follow all the rules for the building.
Delivering the inaugural speech, Minister Krishna J Palemar, said that today fire service department is working to protect the lives of public. It is the department which has maintainedd its standard and reputation without involving in corruption cases.
The Government has provided all the necessary facility required to manage the fire station.
Chief Fire Officer H S Varadarajan welcomed the guests and gathering.
Mp Nalin Kumar, ZP President Shailaja Bhat, Western Range IGP Alok Mohan, Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, SP labu Ram, Mayor Praveen, Deputy Mayor Geetha Nayak, Chandrakanth Kamath and Corporator Ranganath Kini were present on the dais.
