Mangaluru: A 56-year-old head constable of human rights enforcement directorate died due to heart attack while travelling in a car on Thursday morning.
The deceased identified as Rathnakar J K was travelling in a Maruti Omni when he suffered an attack near Navabharath Circle. Though he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead.
He is survived by wife and a son. He was residing in Mulihithlu, Mangaluru and was put up 33-years in police department. He was working in enforcement directorate for the past 12 years.
He was travelling with his colleague to purchase a new car after drawing Rs 2.50 lakh from a bank.
