Mangalore : Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo has said that there is a plan to ensure 24×7 water supply to every household in Mangalore by the next two and a half years by taking up a project to mitigate the existing drinking water problem in the city in some places.
Speaking to reporters here on August 21, Wednesday, the MLA said a sum of Rs 150 crore has been requested from the government to complete the pending drainage works. Steps will also be taken to modernize Kadri, Urva, Alape and Kankanady markets within the next three and a half years.
He said a single windo system has been set up with the MCC under the leadership of joint Commissioner to ensure the building lence can be directly obtained instead of waiting for MUDA.
