Mangalore : Durgaparameshwari and Prashanth, two elephants from the Pilikula Nisargadhama in the outskirts of Mangalore will take part in the Mysore Dasara celebrations. Both the elephants are now on a practice session at Dubare elephant camp.
If Durga Parameshwari is 26 years old, prashanth is 28. Durgaparameshwari has a three year old baby elephant named Radha who has already been separated from her mother and taken to the KR Gudi Elephant camp.
Elephants namely Arjuna, Varalakshmi, Kaveri, Vijay, Gajendra, Gopalkrishna are among others which are in the list of elephants which are likely to take part in Dasara procession.
If Prashanth had been taken to the Dubare Elephant camp six months ago itself, Durga Parameswhari was transported recently along with Abhimanyu from the Nagarahole park.
