A group of 3 accused in Sowjanya murder case goes to Court for defamation

sowjanyaBelthangady : Following direct allegation which brought a bad name and pointed to suspicion of being involved in the rape and murder case of Ujire college student Sowjanya(20), the trio of accused in the case, namely  Dheeraj Kella, Uday Jain and Mallik Jain, have filed a Defamation case against 9 persons including the parents of Sowjanya, Prajaprabhutva Vedike President Mahesh Shetty Timarody and others in the District court of low.

The 3 petitioners, who are projected as accused in the T.V channels and news papers, pleaded that they were innocent and the Jain community prestige had been violated by the false allegations made by the citizens in Belthangady taluk.

The 3 persons demanded that before they could be accused some material evidence could have been furnished them as a accused, but no such thing as been done so far. On the other hand Sowjanya’s photograph in a semi nude state along with photographs of the 3 accused persons (petitioners) were flashed in TV channels or on news paper pages. This has created a bad impression in the minds of the public were ever they went.

Therefore they wanted justice for the defamation done to them in the high of Jains around them.

The case has been projected as a defense against accusations made against them by nine persons in public out bursts.
