Mangalore: It is time to read books of literary, scientific technological, and other varieties even text-books in Mangalore by students, teachers and children alike in a winter season here comes a national book trust fair-2014 for regular book lovers and of illustrated literature containing stories, comics and plays.
The Pusthak Mela organized by Govt. of India HRD and higher education ministry exclusively for students on an exhibition-cum sale basis from Jan.4 afternoon up to Jan. 12 at the large area of Nehru Maidan, with about 60 stalls and thousands of books on hundreds of topics.
Amit Karki, regional head, NBT, Mangalore along with Basthi Vaman Shenoy of Busthi publishing house, and Vishwa Konkani language and culture center participated in a press conference on Friday Jan.3 to inform people about the book fair, which is a rare event once in 12 years to happen in coastal region to facilitate purchase of any useful book under any title by any publisher who has a stall in the Fair.
