Mangalore : The Pandeshwar fire station has added one more equipment an Aerial Ladder Platform ( ALP) to reach tall buildings in emergency rescue operation.
Speaking to the media, chief fire officer at Pandeshwar fire station on Wednesday June 25 said, the Bronto Skylift F 32 RLX costing around Rs 5 crore, it can reach almost 175 ft height, mounted on a Volvo chassis, The fire engine has a water capacity of 3,800 litres/min.
All the controls are located in the air conditioned front cabin, The machine is computerized and three people can sit.
The ALP was earlier at Banashankari Fire station, Bangalore. A B Ibrahim deputy commissioner will formally launch on next week.
