Mangaluru: District BJP party workers staged protest against the failure of Congress in implementing the developmental works in Mangaluru City Corporation, on Tuesday.
Addressing the gathering MCC opposition leader Roopa D Bangera said that none of the schemes implemented by Congress were successful. BJP is not against MCC, but it is creating awareness among people about the failure of Congress’s administration.
“MCC has seen three mayors during Congress’s tenure. But none of them were interested in implementing any of the developmental projects in Mangaluru. During BJP’s tenure we have carried many projects and implemented them successfully. Starting from road widening to the drainage system everything was almost perfect during BJP’s tenure,” she said.
She further said that Congress the roads are in pathetic condition and traffic jam has reached peak level. The Congress government has implemented many Bhagya’s but the number of beneficiaries is considerably less.
Opposition leader Premananda said that even after having a good amount of rain fall many wards in Mangaluru are facing water crisis. Drinking water issue hasn’t been taken seriously. Tumbe vented dam work is also not completed yet. Road users in Mangaluru are facing severe problems while moving on pathetic roads.
BJP leaders Monappa Bhandary, Ravishankar Mijar, Satyajith Surathkal, Sumitra Kariya and others were present.
