Mangalore : DC Subhod Yadav visited Rosario School to inspect the school premises where the counting of votes will take place on January 4, Tuesday.
There were very few minor incidents took place during the election for Taluk and Zilla panchayat, where as other places were completed peacefully across the Dakshina Kannada district on Friday December 31. Now the voters are eagerly waiting for the results of the elections.
A voting percentage of 67.76 percent was recorded in 1027 polling booths in 35 Zilla Panchayat (ZP) and 129 Taluk Panchayat (TP) constituencies of DK’s five taluks.
Sullia was recorded the highest voting percentage with 71.98 percent, while 69.36 percent was recorded in Puttur, 65.22 percent in Mangalore, 50.61 percent in Belthangady, and 46.67 percent in Bantwal.
Superintendent of police Dr A Subramanyeshwar Rao, was also present during the inspection.
