Mangaluru: “The state government is protecting corrupt officers. ACB investigation is being done in Chikkarayappa case to save him. The case should be transferred to CBI,” said former CM Jagadeesh Shettar.
Addressing the press personnel on Thursday in city, he said that Chikkarayapa has been appointed as managing director Irrigation Corporation without following the existing norms.
“Lokayukta has requested for the permission to take action against 109 officers. Moreover, the government is harassing police personnel like Anupama Shenoy and Ganapathi,” he alleged.
Refusing to comment on Sangolli Rayanna brigade he said that it is an internal matter of party. Internal disputes will be solved inside the party itself.
Speaking about suicide of Bhima Naik, he said “BJP MP Shree Ramulu has given his statement. Along with this case black money allegations on Reddy also should be investigated.”
