Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the national level craft exhibition at Dr Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion he said that the developmental works at nisargadhama are still in primary state. There is a need of implementing more projects there to improve it as a tourism spot.
“Crafts exhibition and sale is supportive for the tourism. I have urged CM to release Rs 5 crore for the construction of 3D planetarium here in Pilikula,” he said.
The exhibition is scheduled for next ten days. More than 25 stalls of crafts items were attracting the people towards them.
Crafts made of areca nut tree leaves, coconut shell, bamboo tree etc were present for public display and for sale.
