aindrithaMangaluru:  Aindrita is a true blue beach girl. Little wonder then that she has professes a major affinity towards the Karavali coast. “If work doesn’t bring me here, then I ensure that we at least holiday in this city once a year,” says the actor, who was recently in town for an inaugural event. “It’s been a year since I came to Mangaluru… I’ve missed the city so much,” she tells us. The last time around, it was leisurely holiday with local friends for the actor and she confesses that it was one of the most memorable breaks she has taken in a while. “Beaches, food and the hospitality of the people is what beings me here every time and none of them have ever let me down,” she smiles.

In fact, Aindrita has such admiration for Kudlaites that she tells us of how she’s met Mangalureans in various parts of the globe during her travels and they’ve all been extremely warm towards her. “I was in Dubai a fortnight ago and was shopping at a mall. A Mangalurean guy offered to take me to his currency exchange store and give me the local currency at an attractive price just to help me get a few extra dirhams. That was really touching,” avers the actor.

Aindrita is also full of praise for the cleanliness in the city. “And the beaches are by far the best I’ve seen in the country… So clean and pristine,” she points out. Having flown down to the city this time, the next time around Aindrita has willed to herself that she will drive down from Bengaluru just so that she can soak in the scenery. “The ghats are beautiful and have plenty of spots where you can stop and sit by the river. There are some amazing viewpoints, too. Mangaluru is one place where you can just come without an agenda or itinerary and still have a gala time,” wraps up Aindrita.
