Mangaluru : Tulunada Rakshana Vedike and residents of the Hoige bazar, Rosario area staged a stong protest against a proposed additional track installation to the already existing twin track at Hoige bazar.
Speaking to the protesters Tulunadu Rakshan Vedike Founder president Yogish Shetty Jeppu said, the new track installation plans for existing twin track will affect the people who live on the edge of the road, the Railway must be canceled the plan immediately he said.
The dust, noise pollution and hazardous traffic density created in the area due to unloading activities of the goods wagons and plying of heavy trucks generally overloaded, day and night is abuse against the humans of the area. Vested interests are the main cause for this crime, Shetty said.
The two railway gates across Pandeswara and Hoige bazar give panic by frequent closing, High traffic risk and the children/students of the many schools and colleges in the vicinity and the sick and aged. lacking space to walk along and very dusty. The leaders said the residents are set to take this protest forward in a serious manner if no action is initiated soon.
