Udupi: Veteran journalist, Manipal MAHE Trust and Dr. T.M.A. Foundation Trustee, Former member of MAHE Board of Management T.V.R. Shenoy (77) breathed his last at Manipal on April 17th.
He has worked as the editor for ‘The Week’ magazine and ‘Sunday Mail’. He has also fulfilled his duty on different designations for ‘The Indian Express’ and ‘Malyalam Manorama’ until his retirement. He used to write articles for national and international newspapers, websites, on national politics in magazines, finance, topics that affect the society, international topics and current events.
He used to provide his articles and opinions to Indian Express, Gulf News, Rediff.com, News Time, Matrbhumi, India First Foundation.org and others. He was also a board trustee of India First Foundation. He was awarded Padma Bhushan,India’s third-highest civilian award in 2003.
T.V.R. Shenoy is originally from Ernakulam in Kerala state. From the last 2-3 months, he was receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital.
