Mangaluru: Candidate names have been finalized and the election arena has been prepared. To attract the voters, BJP and Congress parties are putting in their complete efforts and as a part of the efforts; the party’s national leaders are expected to once again visit the coast.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, and Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge have already visited coastal Karnataka. The local state leaders have come forward to once again call the national level leaders for election promotion in D.K. and Udupi districts.
National leaders are expected to visit the coast within a week. The expected leaders include Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, national president of Congress, Rahul Gandhi, BJP national president, Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Yogi Adityanath, JD(S) supremo, H D Deve Gowda, and state JD(S) president, H D Kumaraswamy. The parties do not want to take any chances as the voters of the coast have been surprise by the choice of candidates.
Road shows have been planned as Congress invites Rahul Gandhi, BJP plans to hold a public rally under the leadership of PM Nehru. Top leaders of parties life CPI(M) and SDPI will visit coastal Karnataka to toughen up the fight.
BJP star campaigner Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival to the coast in the first week of May has almost been finalized. Only the details of when and where are being awaited.
Rahul Gandhi, who is currently on ‘Janashirvada Yatra’ will again visit the coast. He has not given much importance to public rally’s this time. Instead, he has planned to visit all the corners of the district and blend with the people. Therefore, he is expected to visit Belthangady, Sullia and Puttur. Efforts are being put to realize Sonia Gandhi’s visit to Mangaluru.
Election promotion preparations are being carried by JD(S). Kumaraswamy had announced a public rally to be organized at Nehru Maidan and there are expectations for it. But, there is also talk about visit to all the 8 legislative assembly constituencies by the leaders. H.D. Deve Gowda’s participation is expected at the promotion programme.
