Winning Karnataka election is BJP’s doorway to south India: Amit Shah

electionBangaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Friday said winning the May 12 Karnataka Assembly election is vital as it is the party’s “entryway” to south India.

“Winning Karnataka election is vital to us, as it is our entryway toward the south of India,” Shah said at the day-long “Karnataka Now Conclave 2018”

The BJP came to control on it’s own for the first time in Karnataka in 2008, however lost to the Congress following five years in the May 2013 elections.

Shah said that individuals’ reaction to his battle over the state in the course of recent months has demonstrated that the majority are against the Congress.

“The general population of Karnataka are slanted towards BJP and we will win with a larger part in the state. The truth is that individuals are against Congress,” he said

He also added that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is challenging from Badami in Bagalkot district and Chamundeshwari in Mysuru , is “certain” to lose from the two seats.
