Dharmasthala : The Deepotsava at Dharmastala from 02-06 December and Maha Mastakabhisheka ceremony that to be held from 09 to 18 February are important occasions for all of us. The preparations must be such that they ensure excellent facilitation for all devotees who arrive to take part. Since this is a great moment for the district, all authorities must perform their duties with dedication, said UT Khader, the District Incharge Minister on Tuesday at a strategy meeting for the ceremony.
The meeting was held at ‘Shri Sannidhi’ guest house at Dharmastala.
Amenities such as accommodation, security, drinking water, communication, transport, healthcare, electricity and cleanliness; must all be provided through interaction with the respective departments. Khader suggested that keeping the time frame in mind is a necessity.
He has also assured that all roads leading to Dharmastala shall be made better for access through coordination with the transport department. Moodubidre- Venur- Ujire route, Naravi- Guruvayenkere route, Periyashanti – Dharmasthala road and Charmadi roads shall be made better, he stated. While he stated that a plea for 10 crores grant for the purpose has already been submitted to the government, he also called up State government Ministers HD Revanna and Krishnabhaire Gowda in the gathering, requesting them to speed up the approval of the grant. Also, a nodal officer will also be appointed for monitoring of proceedings.
District authority Sasikanth Senthil emphasized on the necessity of authorities to focus their attention towards betterment of cleanliness and transport facilities.
BJP leader Harish Poonja stated that he, along with the others, shall strive his best to uphold the greatness of Dharmastala through this ceremony. He called for everyone to join hands for the same.
Dharmadhikaari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade added that Dharmastala has always worked towards social welfare, parallel to the works of the government. Being a confluence of religious faiths, this region has marked itself notable owing to Lord Manjunatha’s blessings and social initiatives. Stating thus, he requested the cooperation of everyone for the upcoming ceremony.
Police SP Dr. B R Ravikanthe Gowda, Zilla Panchayat representatives Dr. Selvamani and Meenakshi Shantigodu, Belthangady taluk Panchayat representative Divyajyoti were present along with the convenors of different committees of Maha Mastakabhisheka, D Surendra Kumar and D Harshendra Kumar.
