Bangalore: If ex-CM Bookanakere Yeddyurappa may not return in 5 months as CM again, there are some reasons, as 2 First Information Reports are made by Lokayukta Police in the cases of illegal mining on Monday involving all men in Yeddyurappa family and Bhadra Upper Bund Project (on Tuesday) on tender irregularities, under the direction of special LA court judge.
If is for the first time in the history of Lokayukta that a CM (since resigned) is the main accused in 2 FIRs filed by its police.
As there are incriminating documents available against the accused in both cases, Yeddyruappa may go to jail when proved guilty. This has happened only due to his over-enthusiasm, careless and cunning attitudes towards the consequences of his actions as CM in 3 years.
The state political history has no other example of such importance, in the case of any other CM. Enquiries will proceed against sons, son-in-law, and ex-CM himself, said LA-A.DGP Jeevan K.Gaonkar as per directions from State Governor and Justice Shivaraj Patil, last week.
