Davanagere: Chief Minister Devaragunda Sadananda Gowda is his own Finance minister, like his predecessor(Yeddyurappa), and he announced here on Saturday that the state Budget for 2012-13 will be presented to legislature in the second week of March, and could be 10 to 15 percent heavier than previous one.
He was telling reporters just before he unveiled a brass statue of Shivaji Maharaja of Konkan in Davanagere.
The probable dates of budget session are in March for about 20 days or less, he added.
Keeping in mind the priority sectors, the budget size will be duly increased , CM informed the Press.
From January 30(Martyrs’Day) to February 10, the legislature session for winter is being called. Instead of criticising the state Government in the open quite unnecessarily, let the opposing parties discuss the issues in the legislature, he commanded.
There are 42 per cent youths in state population. It has to be a prominent sector to fully utilize this youth power in any activity. A youth budget is on the anvil, he indicated as a youth by nature himself, under the context.
