Sullia : The RM Group organized a mass marriage ceremony where around 30 couples of all religion tied a nuptial knot RM Auditorium at Bellare on Aug 7.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Home Mullapalli Ramachandra said that the Bellare village is witnessing an all-religion marriage which is a symbol of communal harmony. He also said that, this marriage will be a break for the entire dowry taken from the bride during the marriage.
Shaikuna Twakha Ahammed Musliyar, Adi Chunchanagiri Mutt’s Dharmapalanatha Swamiji, and Rev Fr Santhosh D’Souza blessed the couples to lead a prosperous life in the future. R M Group gave 8 pawans of gold and Rs 26,000 for each couples.
A total of 22 Muslim, 7 Hindu, and one Christian couple tied the knot on that day.
Former CM H. D. Kumaraswamy who was unable to participate on the occasion, wished the couples over the phone from Bangalore.
