Educational institutions must equip students to face competitive exams: Mohan Alva

Edn institutionsMangalore: “The tutorial business is booming because of the inability of most of the educational institutions in providing education that would help the students face competitive examinations effectively and also update their information on the subjects concerned,” said Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation. He was speaking at a programme on ‘Educational empowerment for 10th standard students’ organized  by the Muslim Educational Institutions Federation (MEFI) and Minority Guidance Forum (MGF) at Town Hall here in Mangalore on June 23.

Educational institutions instead of becoming profit oriented should be catalysts of development, he added.

Meritorious students who scored high marks in SSLC and PUC exams were honoured.

BA Moideen, former minister, Syed Mohammad Beary, Chairman of Bearys Group of Institutions, and several others were present on the occasion.
