Bangalore: It was a programme worth attending. Hundreds of hands were playing Tabla simultaneously to the thunderous applause of the gathering. The event was the ‘Onde Sooru Tabala Nooru” organized by the Sri Sadguru Music Academy at Ravindra Kalakshetra on Sunday.
The unique feature of the programme was that there were Tabla artistes of all ages right from a 5 year old to a 50 year old. Not just that they belonged to different walks of life and various professions but each one of them had a passion for the instrument of Tabla.
Earlier, retired Chief Justice MN Venkatachalaiah inaugurated the programme, said music soothes the minds and hearts and enlivens our lives.
