Mangalore: The Janavauhini Yatra on the lines of ‘Congress nadige, Janara Balige’ only during election time, has brought out JD(s) leaders to the west coast, on the eve of Udupi Loka Sabha by poll, with over 20 members from Congress and BJP, deserting these two national parties, to join JD-s on Sunday, February.19.
M.B. Sadashiva, DK unit chief of JD-s, welcomed the deserters into his fold, and gave them JD-s flags to cherish.
Addressing them and others, Sadashiva stated that his party aims to empower working classes in society. He made it clear that Tatas and Birlas (Capitalists) did not build this nation, may be they financed, but hard work came from labour classes to create what we have today, like dams and roads.
He accused BJP of tarnishing the good name of Karnataka and dragging down its image by serial scandals, on forest mining, and denotification of farm lands to grab, for families of leaders.
