Mangaluru : DCP Laxmi Ganesh from Mangaluru Police Commissionerate limits has been transferred to Bengaluru. He has been replaced by Vinay Gaonkar as the new DCP of Crime and Traffic to the Mangalore commissionerate. .

On August 7, the state government has issued an order and appointed Vinay Gaonkar as the new DCP crime and traffic for Mangalore commissionerate.

Laxmi Ganesh has been appointed as Additional SP of Bengaluru Rural District.

Eight IPS and non IPS police officers from the State Police department including DCP Lakshmi Ganesh, have been transferred on August 7.
