Mangaluru : Many freedom fighters have laid down their lives for the country. Many such great men were inspired by Gandhiji ‘s philosophy and ideals. The youth should imbibe his good ideas, said University College Mangalore Principal Dr.Anasuya Rai.

Delivering her presidential address, during the “Gandhi Jayanti” celebration organised by NSS and Youth Red Cross at Dr. Shivarama Karantha Sabhabhavana here on Sunday, she said that the idea of ‘Rama Rajya’ and clean India should arise in today’s students, she added.

NSS Program Officer Dr. Suresh welcomed the guests. Journalism student Sivaprasad Bolantoor mastered the ceremony. Yashaswi prayed and NSS Program Officer of NSS Dr. Gayathri.N extended vote of thanks. On this occasion, NSS students participated in cleanliness drive. Teaching and non-teaching staff were present on this occasion.
