Mangaluru : Mangaluru South Constituency Congress candidate J R Lobo and Vedvyas Kamath exercise their franchise at their respective polling booths.

Both Lobo and Kamath came along with their spouses and family members. Sitting Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath defeated JR Lobo in the 2018 elections by margin of more than 16,000 votes.

Mangaluru South, an Assembly segment which has been watched closely by political analysts and politicians alike, is proving to be a high voltage constituency as 5 contenders are trying their luck this time.
