Sullia : A collision between a bike and a pick-up vehicle at Paladka near Sullia on the Maani-Mysuru State Highway on May 22, Monday night has claimed the life of an Ayurvedic medical student while another student has sustained injuries.

The deceased is Swaroop (21), a third year student of a private Ayurveda College of Sullia. He hailed from Chikkaballapura. The injured student is Sambhram (21) from Madikeri.

The bike was heading towards Madikeri when it was rammed by a pick-up headed towards Sullia. The bike rider lost control and the two-wheeler hit a car resulting in the death of Swaroop.

The injured has been admitted to Sullia Government Hospital. The pick-up vehicle driver has escaped from the scene of the acciden
