Mangaluru : Some unidentified miscreants have set afire two boats anchored at Someshwar sea shore. This has damaged the boat and fishing nets incurring losses to the tune of several lakhs of rupees.

The country boats were owned by Anil and Shekhar of Someshwar. The incident occurred on March 2, Thursday afternoon. Locals noticed the fire in the boats which in no time spread to the nearby bushes. The fire was later extinguished by nearby residents.

A complaint has been lodged at Ullal Police Station.
