Moodbidri : The police have arrested seven persons in connection with robbery of black pepper worth Rs 8.5 lakh, from KMB Enterprises at Handeli in Moodbidri.

The KMB Enterprises godown is owned by Mukhesh Kumar Patel, a native of Gujarat.  Sukesh Shetty (23), the Scorpio driver, Naveen (30) , Harish Poojari (32), Yogi alias Yogiraja, Yogish Salian (26), Mahesh (20) and Pratap Rai (23) arrested with lethal weapons and vehicles.

Sources said, they planned to rob the actress Radhika Kumaraswamy house at Salettur in Bantwal taluk.

All the arrested were produced before the court and remanded for 15 days of judicial custody.
