Mangaluru : A mother and 4 year old daughter died by suicide at Kodialguthu in the city on Wednesday March 1.

The deceased are identified as Vijaya (33) and Shobhita(4). It is said that elder daughter who hanged by her mother survived.

The reason behind them taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

A case is registered at Barke police station and investigation is on.
