MU requests departments to admit students to hostels

Mangaluru :  Due to some technical hurdles in new education regulations for the year 2020-21 and 2021-22, Mangalore University could not conduct examinations or give results to students in time. Hence, varsity has requested the Department of Social Welfare, Backward Classes to allow the admission of students seeking hostel admission and re-admission within the University limits. A request is also submitted to Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation.

Mangalore University Registrar (Evaluation) Prof. P L Dharma, in his letter informed that under graduation students have finished with their exams on October 10 and as per the direction of the government, the results of the sixth (last) semester are to be given on priority. The university has taken up the evaluation of the 2nd and 4th semester answer papers as well. Besides, the evaluation of NEP batch first semester answer scripts is in progress.

On this occasion, he requested the departments to allow the admission of students seeking hostel admission and re-admission within the University limits. In addition to this, steps have already been taken to distribute the mark cards of the students, the Registrar (Evaluation) stated in his letter.
