NAIF gives Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad and Dr Allama Iqbal award to top scorers

Mangalore : The New Age India Forum organized the valedictory ceremony of Educational Cell and the Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad and Dr Allama Iqbal award ceremony was held at Town Hall on August 5, Thursday.

Dr Ismail N, principal of Badriya College, in his inaugural address said that, today there is different kind of education, learning students and even students who score the highest marks with the effort, but they go useless in front of money.

Around 13 to 14 percent of Muslim minorities are present, out which only 25 percent are educated and work for the welfare of the society and community, he said. But there is increase in education in minorities when it comes to Dakshina Kannada, he added.

The scholars who are at top position were not rich when they were learning, but they achieved it with their talent and effort, he said.
BM Farooq, managing director, Fiza Group, Bangalore, Khasim Ahamed HK, president of Hidaya Foundation, Wasim Ahmed Pandeshwar, convener, Education Cell, NAIF participated as the chief guests.

Shaul Hameed, leader of Jamaat-E-Islami Hind and Adil Randeshwar , secretary of NAIF were present on the dais.
Later both the awards were given to five top scoring students in the SSLC and PU examination held during the year 2009-2010.
