Mangaluru : A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Sub-­Inspector who was on duty at the NMPT main gate, has attempted suicide by shooting herself on October 12, Wednesday morning.

The injured officer Jyothi Bai (33) has been rushed to a private hospital. She hails from Bharathpur in Rajasthan. The incident took place during the early hours of Wednesday.

Domestic problem is suspected to be the reason for her extreme step. Police have also found a note written by Jyothi in Hindi. In that she has written that she was overwhelmed by life and that she was solely responsible for her act.

Further investigations are underway.
