Mangaluru : Prime Minister Narendra Modi who addressed a huge public meeting at Mulki on May 3, Wednesday, lashed out at the Congress party and alleged that the party was against peace and development. He said the Congress was interested in appeasement politics.
Modi said the people of Karnataka must not allow the Congress to come to power if they want stability.
He urged the voters to vote for the BJP to make Karnataka No. 1 state and claimed that there has been remarkable infrastructure development in the state.
He also alleged that the Congress wants to come to power to withdraw various pro-people programmes initiated by the BJP government.
Modi said he has seen the love and affection of the people towards the BJP and said the people of the state want the BJP to come to power in the state.
Launching a tirade at the Congress, he said the party wants to make its grand family in Delhi happy. He also alleged that the Congress if voted to power will resort to 85% commission.
The Prime Minister also alleged that the Congress insults the army and also insults the country globally. He also dubbed the Congress as “reverse-gear.”
Modi claimed that the double-engine BJP government in Karnataka has met the aspirations of the people and has introduced schemes for the welfare of women and farmers.
He also said the BJP government at the Centre has contributed to the welfare of the fishermen and said the tenure of the double engine government in the state saw inland fishing production double to 120 lakh tonnes from 60 lakh tonnes.
Modi also said every vote that is cast on May 10 will decide the future of the state.
Modi who began his speech in Tulu and mentioned Parashurama Srishti raised a Kannada slogan- “E Baariya Nirdhara- Bahumatha BJP Sarkara.”
Dakshina Kannada MP and State BJP President Nalin Kumar Kateel, District in-charge Minister Sunil Kumar, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, Party candidates and sitting MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Bharath Shetty, Umanath Kotian, Harish Poonja, District BJP President Sudarshan Moodbidri, Kaup candidate Suresh Shetty Gurme, Sullia candidate Bhagirathi Murulya and others were present.
