Kumta: A jeep car driven by Muttu Laxman, son of Ishwar Poojari coming from Ankola and going to Gokarna met with a serious accident by hitting a moving Truck and over turning on the high way at Agnashree Bridge in Divgi near Kumta on Sunday in broad day light. There were 12 medical students from Hubli Ayurvedik Medical College. One of them died were as the other occupants of the jeep were injured, 3 of them seriously the injured persons were taken to Kasturba Mmedical College in Manipal by another Vehicle for immediate medical treatment.

The Kumta police promptly arrived on the scene of the jeep accident and took charge of both vehicles on the road side.

 Investigation is progressing since as one death has occurred on way.
