New Delhi: Well- known Kannada Writer, novelist and film Personality, Perla Gopalkrishna Pai, who wrote dialogues for recent Konkani film ‘Uzwadu’(light), has won the Central Academy award for literature. He won the Central award for 2010, when he wrote a novel’ Swapna Saraswata’ in Kannada. This year already Dr. C. Kambara and Dr. S.L. Byrappa won national awards as literary figures, and Pai forms the triumvirate with his Central Literary Academy award.

Pai expressed joy and satisfaction over his selection. He said he did a lot of research. He acknowledged those earlier writers who stood by him to inspire him in his writings. He added that if qualitative works flow out as poetry, short story, novel and criticism, awards are there to follow them, the literary man stated.
