Mangaluru : The Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management organized a talk, by the Anti ragging cell and Department of Computer Science on Oct.12, Wednesday.
The talk titled “Prevention of Ragging at Educational Institutions” witnessed dignitaries by affectively stating on the problems, recounting the students about the noxious effects of ragging.
Honorable DCP of Mangalore, Mr. Anshu Kumar IPS, highlighted that ragging has lots mental impacts on victims. While talking about the pernicious effects of ragging, he even mentioned the legal concern of it.
Later, the guest and students had an iterative session. The students also receive insights and motivation about the Prevention of Ragging at Educational Institution.
The Principal and Dean of Faculty of Science of the college Dr. Arun A Bhagawath, Vice Princiapl Dr.Jeevan Raj, HOD of Computer Science Department Mr. Narayana Sukumar were present for the program.
The program was led by the students of Computer Science Department. This talk was organized by Ms. Jamuna K M, Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science and Mr. Pavithra Shetty, Assistant Professor Department of Hospitality. The program is conducted in both offline and online mod. In offline all the final year and second year student’s representatives of all course of 200 students and all the Anti-ragging committee members of the college were present for the same. In online all first year, second year and final year students of the college were attended through YouTube live streaming.
